In case you heard of a passenger boat sinking off the coast of Senegal, and thought to yourself, hey self, isn't that where Ult is? and wondered whether perhaps I was on the boat and drowned with the other thousand people who couldn't make it to the bridge, I just wanted to make it clear that I wasn't and didn't. Juliette and I are alive and well, and reflecting on how close everyone is to their own death in each moment, and how awareness of that proximity to and unpredictability of death can bring a new awareness to life.
